Fish finders use Sonar to locate objects, preferably fish, underwater. In addition to the HDS screens, there are technology accessories to complete your Lowrance Fish Finder. There is an Ethernet expansion port to transfer data. You can also get constant satellite updates with a GPS Receiver. There are electronic probes available with independent microprocessors that will feed back additional data to your monitor. It all sounds like equipment that would help you win the Cold War, and it will certainly help you find your favorite catch.
